BRAND IN ENTERTAINMENT UTILIZES INNOVATIVE BIDDING DEVICE AT INAUGURAL INTEGRATION AUCTION, SCATTER CATEGORIES 2010
Unprecedented Auction Collaborates with Global Leaders in Audience Response to Provide Interactive Silent Auction Experience on January 20, 2010 at Christie’s New York City
LOS ANGELES – December 14, 2009 – Brand in Entertainment (BiE), founders of the Inaugural Integration Auction, Scatter Categories 2010, is pleased to partner with IML to utilize its electronic silent auction and pledge technology for the silent auction portion of this pioneering event. Taking place at Christie’s in New York City on January 20, 2010, the Inaugural Integration Auction will offer advertisers the opportunity to bid on exclusive product integration packages to feature their services and products among multiple media platforms.
IML has been at the forefront of innovative, interactive event technologies since 1991, supporting more than 2,000 events worldwide each year. IML’s presence at the BiE auction will provide guests with a paperless bidding system, allowing them to enter their bids via the easy-to-use
IML Communicator keypad. On entering their bids, guests are immediately informed if they hold the highest bid or if they have already been outbid, generating a fun and competitive bidding environment.
The IML silent auction system will also track all the bids throughout the evening and output the names of the highest bidders onto plasma TV screens placed strategically around Christie’s Woods Room. At the conclusion of the event, a report is instantly generated that provides details of the evening’s highest bidders, helping to automate and expedite the check out process.
“We’re thrilled to provide our silent auction services to BiE’s Inaugural Integration Auction,” said Simon Bryan, Managing Director, IML North America. “IML works to create an enjoyable and interactive experience for silent auction events and appreciates the opportunity to create that experience at BiE’s innovative auction event.”
In addition to the silent auction, there will also be a live auction conducted by famed auctioneer and BiE COO Tere Morris, featuring three of the most anticipated auction category opportunities. The Inaugural Integration Auction will kick off with a red carpet event at 6:00 p.m. featuring celebrity appearances, and will be followed by a welcome address from BiE Chairman Jim Rose, current Chairman and CEO of Mosaic Sales Solutions.
