Paul VI Catholic School held its second high school fundraiser of the year and yet again exceeded all expectations. The school is getting used to breaking records with IML’s Silent Auction software system and audience response technology helping to maximize fundraising efforts and smash targets at their last two events.

This silent auction fundraising event and was aimed at generating much needed funding for upgrading school technology.
The silent auction welcomed parents of current and former pupils as well as alumni- all great supporters of the school. The guests had fun bidding against their peers using IML’s unique audience response wireless keypads, and nothing makes a fundraiser succeed more than some healthy competition; the guests loved it. Through IML’s silent auction software system, bidder’s names were lit up on the main screen as soon as bids were received. This drove up the value of the bids and heightened the competition.
The electronic audience response wireless keypads were an unobtrusive addition to the high school fundraiser and the client was amazed at the ease with which it was incorporated into their event. As soon as the silent auction system was introduced, bids for the 200 lots started pouring in.
Doubts about hosting two fundraisers in the same year were dispelled when the event went on to beat all expectations generating more than $95,000 in bids on the night.
IML’s audience response wireless keypads were a triumph for the school fundraising event and meant that participants were able to take part in the Silent Auction while enjoying the rest of the evening’s entertainment and without having to leave their seats.
In the past, paper based bidding had been attempted, but it had proved to be inefficient and time-consuming. IML’s audience response wireless keypads made bidding simple and allowed guests to bid as often as they liked. All of which contributed to a fundraising total exceeding client expectations by over $30,000.
