Leadership Training & Manager's Meetings

Recall of Ideas & Solutions Presented During Leadership Training Not In Jeopardy

"Interactive training ideas & solutions, huh?" mulled Wayne to himself while driving to work that day, thinking of the email invite he received to today's management leadership training.  "We'll see."

If Wayne had been told that a full day spent working on improving communication skills would be this thrilling, he would have never believed it. In fact, this was exactly what he was told, and he didn't believe it.  He headed up a team of CPAs.  Numbers were his thing, not words.

Wayne grins as he enters his office and sees exactly what interactive training means.  Each day at 4pm, it was the guilty pleasure of Wayne and his team of CPA would sneak off and catch just a bit of Jeopardy!  Today, no sneaking off would be necessary.

Group response systems rental company IML had made his office look just like the Jeopardy! set.  They'd even customized the answer board with his company's logo.  It was as though he was walking into an interactive training session made up to look like his guilty pleasure.

"OK, you got me," laughed Wayne to himself.

Today's leadership training sessions for Wayne and his fellow managers would be more like contestant run-offs.  Questions and answers in these run-off sessions would form the backbone of the day's  training, while Final Jeopardy! would be the final exam. However, only three managers would be left standing to take this final exam.

"Communicating Bad Tax News for 100," blurts Wayne to begin the training.

Already in the zone, Wayne presses the button on his IML Communicator to offer a question, almost as quickly as the trainer reveals the first answer.

Quick as a buzzer, the day blasts away, and much to his own surprise Wayne now stands behind an actual Jeopardy! podium.  Wayne is up against a sales manager and his own CEO.  Wayne knows that each have their supporters who will be eagerly watching their points climb on the custom scoreboards created by group response systems rental company IML.

CPA manager Wayne closes the game well ahead of his contestants, and scrolls his answer to Final Jeopardy! with a confident flourish.  The prize for Wayne today would be a trip to Las Vegas. The prize for his company, thanks to employees like Wayne retaining the ideas and solutions presented, would be stronger prospects and happier clients.

The prize beyond spending all day playing Jeopardy! with colleagues, that is.
