Audience Response Text Messaging - Product Details

Audience response text messaging systems promote inclusiveness and enhance interactive participation by giving everyone the opportunity to respond to questions in their own words.

Audience Response Text messaging from the Communicator keypad - how does it work?

In the same way that text messages are sent from a cell phone, participants simply type their messages into the Communicator keypad and press send. Attendees can send multiple text messages during each session.

Text messages from your audience are immediately received by a control laptop, where they can be quickly reviewed, filtered and prioritized before they are displayed live.

Anonymous vs Identified

Anonymous text messaging will ensure you receive open and honest feedback from your audience, providing you with rich quality feedback data.

Alternatively, you can track text messages back to the person who sent them using IML's Smartcard Identification cards.

Audience Response Text messaging has proven extremely valuable during the following types of events:

Sales Meetings & Training Conferences
Enabling your audience to answer questions via text messaging means that you are no longer restricted to using just multiple choice question formats during examinations and training sessions. Audience Response Text messaging allows participants to submit answers in their own words, with the following benefits:

  • You can be confident that attendees have not guessed the answer from a multiple choice format.
  • Learning is enhanced, as active participation during training sessions ensures attendees are kept engaged and interested in what they are being taught.
  • Audience response data can be used post-event to assess employee strengths and weaknesses, allowing you to identify areas where further training may be required.
  • Asking questions using a wider variety of question formats will keep participants energized and help to ensure that concentration levels are retained throughout training sessions.

Q&A sessions

Gain greater control over your debates and Q&A sessions with Message Manager - text message management software from IML. You decide which text messages will be displayed live to your audience, ensuring your session remains focused and constructive.

The software ensures that your Q&A sessions are fully accessible and inclusive, as all attendees are given an equal opportunity to have their say via text messages.

Audience Response Text messaging is a particularly valuable tool for gaining insight into the thoughts and opinions of audience members who wouldn't normally have the confidence to speak aloud at a conference.

Brainstorming sessions

Instantly capture a group's ideas and opinions and display their feedback live, enabling further discussion and a vote on priorities.

Quizzes

Enhance fun quizzes by getting teams to text-in the missing word from a famous phrase or comment.

Other benefits

Using up to 127 characters of text, attendees can text in as many questions and comments as they choose.

Attendees can submit opinions in their own words.

No longer are you restricted to a limited choice of question formats.

Attendeess can now respond to both pre-prescribed and 'open' question formats.

Feedback is in real time allowing important issues to be dealt with immediately.

The function carries no time restraints and can be enabled for as long as you need it. For example, it could be used in response to a question with a short time limit or you may choose to use it during a brainstorming session or coffee break.

You decide which comments will be displayed live to your audience, allowing you greater control over the direction of your meeting.

The text function allows everyone the equal opportunity to have their say, encouraging participation from attendees who might normally be reluctant to speak aloud at a conference.

Your audience can submit text messages anonymously. This allows attendees the opportunity to express their true opinions and increases the quality of your feedback data. Alternatively, Smartcard I.D technology can be used to identify delegates individually or by team number.

Access to the text function can be controlled by restricting the use to only those issued with Smartcards.

Measure changes in perception and opinions by comparing attendee responses to the same question asked before and after a presentation.

All feedback is stored to a database for post-event analysis.
